Sid Mullings, the last basket maker in Market Lavington, with some of his baskets.  He gave up basket making in about 1947.Basket Making

Baskets made by the Mullings family, who made baskets in the village for several generations, can be seen in the museum. Baskets were produced for a variety of purposes. Many were used by market gardeners for harvesting vegetables, others had more usual domestic uses.
